Kiwanis 91st Chicken BBQ

Rain or shine the Independence Kiwanis will be holding our 91sst Chicken BBQ on Sunday, May 20, 2012 at the Kiwanis Pavilion in Elmwood Park between the hours of 11:30 am and 3:00 pm. Come enjoy a chicken dinner with cole slaw, French fries, roll and butter and dessert. Ticket prices at the door will be $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children. We will are offering a $1.00 discount for any adult ticket purchased in advance. Contact Edie today at 216-524-2312 for your tickets. We will see you there!

Easter Egg Hunt Recap…
Sunshine and warm temperatures brought out over 300 kids to hunt for eggs at our 41st annual Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 7, 2012. Each child went home with a bag of candy, while their parents went home with a slew of photos. Our goal is to help preserve the tradition of the Easter Bunny in the eyes, thoughts and hearts of our children.

Spring Garage Sale Recap…
On Saturday, April 14, 2012 the Kiwanis Club of Independence held it's bi-annual community garage sale. The crowds were fantastic all day and the sales were brisk. The proceeds from our garage sale help benefit the Kiwanis Dottie Ornas Scholarship. This scholarship is given to one high school male and female graduate each year. The Kiwanis would like to thank the community for their continued support!
